These worn out old jeans belong to my daughter got the stripy skirt treatment and I am really pleased with the result. I followed the instructions from sew hip magazine http://www.sewhip.co.uk/ i love this magazine and have been getting it since the first issue but this is the first time I have actually made anything! from the magazine. This was surprisingly easy to do the hardest part was unpicking the pockets. I have not hemmed the bottom yet but had to take a photo anyway!

Quilt and Dolls find a new home
This quilt has found a new home with a very pregnant Caroline SNA extraordinaire! (special needs assistant) who works at our local national school and has just earned a well deserved break before the birth of her third child way to go! good luck!!!
The three Happiness in the heart dolls shiped off to France late Janurary a belated Bon Voyage ! ....... an auntie present for three cute sisters. The purple doll is dressed in fabric from Perth WA. My very super sister in law Aileen gave to me this fabric at christmas while at home on holidays from Perth WA. Actually the three girls are dressed in fabrics from Australia,USA and UK and now they live in France! Looks like they know their way around .

Niamh an Chinn oir Niamh of the golden hair
This is a work in progress. The idea is to introduce a character from the old Irish fairy tale about the land of the ever young Tír na Nóg Niamh of the golden hair. After much drawing and redrawing the sketch for the embroidered image for Niamh on horse came about I think she looks suitably self assured .... being princess material and drop dead gorgeous to booth this look was essential! This is the juicy orange golden green colour story. This is the center panel and I am not sure how to proceed .... plan is to look at it for a few days and hope it will come to me! I have made a little cot quilt using this particular collection of fabrics and like the zing factor you get from the zesty orange accent ( did no have enough zesty orange fabric for Niamh had to do with a less intense orange to frame the embriodered panel... may need to order more intense orange to frame the embroidered block to get that colour punch. Next to the do one with a different colourway green blues yellow and chocolate brown.
